Plan My TourLISPORT is born from the meeting of two of Portugal's greatest strengths: the historic openness of Lisboa and the strong, welcoming character of Porto. For centuries, Portuguese ports were the true gateways of the country: places of departure, arrival, exchange and discovery.
Three thousand years ago the Phoenicians moored here and called it Alis Ubbo, the safe harbour. From these Tagus quays the caravels sailed to draw the map of the world, and the city learned the habit it never lost: to welcome whoever arrives from the water.
The Romans called it Portus Cale, the port that gave Portugal its name. Granite, six bridges and the rabelo boats that carried the barrels downriver to the cellars of Gaia. A city that works hard, speaks straight, and treats a visitor like a neighbour.
We chose this name because we want every tour to carry that same spirit: a bridge between places, people and stories. We are based in Porto, we work in Porto and we love Porto.
